Hey Ya'll

I forgot to add this piece I did a few months back! The request was for the phrase"Hey Ya'll" to be included along with anything Texas themed, so I came up with this bluebonnet watercolor piece!

Kid, You'll Move Mountains!

I was commissioned to make a piece of art for a little girl's playroom and had artistic freedom which is always so exciting....the only request was to use the following Dr. Seuss quote and to make it colorful! I'm really proud of how it turned out. It is an original, one of a kind piece, all hand lettered with watercolor and accented with raised hand cut paper mountains.

Latest Work

Lately, I've been up to a whole lot of small projects. Im so thankful for each and every one of them!..Sadly, I forget to take pictures due to time constraints, but I do have a few pictures of some of my latest work!

My husband's good friend recently got married and he came up with this idea, I just executed it! The groom likes to hunt, so I thought a pair of gold antlers would fit. I didn't want it to look rustic so a clean fresh piece of wood with a light stain did the trick...along with a clean simple font.

The following sign was made for a wedding. The wording the bride asked for reminded me of "Lovesong" by The Cure. I sang it the whole time I was working on it!

Hand Lettered Birthday Sign

I had another opportunity to design and create a hand lettered "chalkboard" sign for a baby girl's first birthday! This may be my favorite one by far!

Snail Mail - Swap Bot Letter Exchange

Mail. The good kind. The kind that is packaged pretty with the beautiful stationery or card and handwritten thoughts! Swoon! I've been making handmade cards for quite awhile....make that 6 years! its kind of my thing! I started my little card making journey in my college dorm room at UNT (The University of North Texas) and sold them at the local flower shop I used to work at, FlowerGarden, for $5 a pop!  They've come a long way!.... but I love to send some of my cards out when I participate in a swap...along with hand lettering and that oh so famous washi tape. This is one of the most recent package I sent out that included handmade envelopes, my handmade ice cream card, and a postcard from Marfa, TX that didn't make it into the picture since it didn't match the color scheme I had going on! HA!

Recently...

I think I just committed a sin in the blogosphere by posting Halloween related cards AFTER Halloween! Sorry! Life has been hectic on my side! Well, here are a few Halloween goodies that were sent out with lots of care. The cards and garland are all handmade along with the card decor. Thank you for looking!

Hand Lettering

I love being asked to hand letter signs for people! It's one thing I've been practicing since I was so little! It makes me happy when I get compliments on my handwriting too because ever since I was in first grade and I saw my teacher, Mrs. Phillips write on the chalkboard in her perfect print...I knew I wanted mine to look just as perfect! :) Take a look at some of my recent signs!
