Idle Hands?

I'm the type that needs to keep my hands and mind busy, whether it be making greeting cards, doodling, or decorating for events! Need some ideas on how to keep those hands busy? Why not try out a new hobby?

Check out these awesome needlepoint kits from Emily Peacock.....incredible! The mid-century modern style of her designs remind me of Johnathan Adler.

 Kiss & Hug

A few years back I went to an Etsy Holiday Bazaar in Dallas and stumbled upon Sublime Stitching...I tried my hand at embroidery and found it to be so easy! I embroidered tea towels and pillowcases for my family and friends during Christmas while I was in college....because as a college student, I was preeetty low on funds. Let me tell you, the gifts were a hit even if they weren't bought at a store!

Just Chillin'

It's November!.... Too bad the weather doesn't know it yet, with the 80 degree days we've been having here in West Texas. Slowly but surely it's getting a little chilly though. In hopes of hurrying up the cold weather so I can bundle up, strike up a fire, and pile on the blankets, I've chosen to showcase some knitted goodness! These beautiful pieces and photographs come via Emmadime Knitted, a talented girl who is also a fellow Texan, currently residing in Dallas....even more reason to support, right?!...Ooh, I really want the mustard yellow scarf!

Handmade Goodness

As you may or may not know, handmade is very near and dear to my heart. The thought, care, and patience that goes into making something by hand should be appreciated...unlike the mass produced jewelry available at most retail stores.

Today I want to shine the spotlight on a shop I found through Etsy, My Selvaged Life. Take a look around there are lots of unique treasures to adorn yourself! Here just a few finds available!

Geometric Earrings

Butterfly Necklace - Made of paper & wood

Geometric Faceted Rings

Must Have

Now, I do not own an iPad, but if i did you better believe I would snatch this vintage lace iPad case right up!! It is so feminine, simple, and perfect. The lace used on this case is from a vintage dress, even more reason to love it. On second thought, I could buy it and use it as a clutch!....Yep, I'm pretty sure this shall be mine :) You can find this beauty here at GaliaBorn's Etsy Shop....

Confection Goodness

I was surfing the internet as I usually do in the evenings and I found this amazing, oh so talented confectionery shop, Andie's Specialty Sweets! Of course they would be all the way in L.A. but good news....you can find their Etsy Shop here!.... Yep, they are all edible! I don't know about you but they are really too pretty to eat.
