This past weekend my guy and I made a trip to Buffalo Gap, a little town outside of Abilene, TX. I fell in love with that place....quiet, full of trees, art galleries, and shops! One of the stops we made was to a cute antique shop called, The Purple Buffalo. Please make a stop of you ever visit! The owner of the shop, Jay Spiegel, was such a nice man......even cooler was that he used to be a disc jockey at the local radio station, KBYG, when he was just a teenager! At the shop I spotted the coolest little 50's vintage alarm clock! It doesn't work but I got it for only $10....my deal of the day! You won't find one of these beauties at your local Wal-Mart or Target.......which is why I prefer the nostalgia found in antique shops!!

Cascarones!
Cascarones aka confetti eggs have been a festive Easter tradition in our family ever since I can remember. These confetti filled eggs are a hit with everyone! What you do is sneak up on an unsuspecting person and break the egg over their head so that the confetti spills all over them! Having a cascarone broken over your head is said to bring good luck.......so bring on the luck!!
To make cascarones:
1. Gently tap a small hole on the top
2. Empty the egg yolk into a bowl or sink
3. Rinse out the inside of the egg thoroughly
4. Let dry
5. Decorate the egg with markers, dye, paper, glitter..... the possibilities are endless!
6. Fill with confetti
7. Cover the hole with a circular piece of tissue paper and glue in place
Our family loves making them colorful and beautifully decorated! I decorated these to share with you.

Easter Goodness
I can't believe Easter is almost here and April is coming to a close! As a little girl, I remember waking up Easter morning to a basket filled with all sorts of goodies that the Easter Bunny would leave in my room :) Now I'm all grown up...... even though I must admit I'll always be a kid at heart. I leave you with this Handmade Wish I drew and painted with Gouache and accented with a black Micron marker.

Simply Spring Wreath
Those who know me know how much I love crafting and creating! A couple of days ago I created this simple little wreath using a metal wreath form, Spanish moss, and folded paper flowers. I think it would be a cute welcome to visitors just in time for Easter!........Here are some instructions on how to make the folded floral bursts!! Now go on and craft away! :) Oh, and I edited the instructions a bit from the original source down below!

Make accordion paper flowers:
- Take two sheets of square scrap-booking paper, and fold each one accordion style in 1″ sections.
- Fold each one in half.
- Staple or hot glue each one together on one side to form a half-circle.
- Then staple or hot glue the two halves together!
